Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! With an Electrical Installation Certificate (CIE), you can receive financial compensation for the surplus you send to the electrical grid.
According to current regulations (REBT), the CIE is mandatory to obtain compensation for surplus energy.
Once your kit is certified, your electricity company can compensate you for the surplus energy either by paying you for each kWh fed into the grid or offsetting the surplus against your future consumption. This is sometimes referred to as a “virtual battery,” even though there is no actual battery involved. After obtaining the Electrical Installation Certification (CIE), send it to your electricity company. They will verify that your meter supports bidirectional measurement, activate the tracking of your surplus energy, and proceed with compensation.
To initiate the process for your Electrical Installation Certificate (CIE), you first need to send the required documentation to Robinsun. This documentation will be forwarded to an engineering company approved by the Ministry of Industry and the representative bodies of each Autonomous Community, which will handle the certification process. The certificate must be signed by a qualified and accredited engineer. Once the CIE has been validated, the relevant authority sends a copy to the distributor and another to Robinsun, which is then forwarded to the client.
Once the client obtains the Electrical Installation Certificate, they must contact their electricity company, which will ask them to email the CIE to cross-check it with the one received by the company. They will verify that everything is in order, and once verification is complete, they will contact the client to manage the various compensation options, such as paying for the surplus, assigning a virtual battery, or supplying it to another property, if applicable. Compensation options may vary by company, and the processing time and costs may differ based on each Autonomous Community.
