Our new Anker Solarbank battery systems- which is right for you?
This week we launched the latest Anker Solarbank battery systems. You can check on our blog to get an overview of all models available. In case you need help to choose among Solarbank, Solarbank 2 Plus and Solarbank 2 Pro, this blog will help you understand which model is the best for your home.
Solarbank
The Solarbank battery system is suitable for you if you already own a plugin solar kit. It combines a battery and controller in just one device that is extremely easy to set up. You need to have solar panels and a micro inverter in order to connect the Solarbank. You can use your solar panels and micro inverter, or a Robinsun plugin solar kit with the latest components of the highest quality. The Solarbank is inserted between the solar panels and the micro inverter of your current setup. Plug your solar panels into the left side of the Solarbank, and connect the micro inverter on the right, to feed your solar energy into your home’s grid.
You may produce more solar energy than you consume during the day. The Solarbank battery system stores your excess power. With Solarbank, you can use all the solar energy you produce instead of feeding it into the grid and get just little compensation. This battery system is fully compatible with Robinsun plugin solar kits. It has a capacity of 1,6 kWh. Similar to Robinsun plugin solar kits, it can be installed easily in a few minutes and is fit for outdoor use.
Anker offers an app that shows the real-time power stored or consumed, facilitating power control and analysis over WiFi and Bluetooth. The Anker Solarbank is now available with our launch promotion at just €899 instead of the regular price of €1.199 (you save €300!), including VAT and shipment to your home.
Solarbank 2 Plus
Solarbank 2 Plus is best for you if you have a a lower energy consumption with no solar installation so far. The Solarbank 2 Plus contains a battery, micro inverter, and solar controller in one single unit. It is an integrated model that saves your time and money, and coordinates the three devices internally for increased efficiency. You can connect 2 high performance Aiko solar panels to your Solarbank 2 Plus. We offer various mounts so that our panels suit your home. Solarbank 2 Plus is easy to install. Check the video below for detailed instructions.
Solarbank 2 Plus has a built-in battery of 1,6 W. We also offer extension batteries of 1,6 kWh each. You can easily stack up to 5 extensions on top of each other to store more energy.. All you need to do is to stack them up and no cable is needed throughout the process. You can also connect it with an optional smart meter to measure your home’s power consumption at any time and store all surplus energy into your battery system. This way you take the maximum advantage of every kW produced by your solar installation and maximize your savings on the power bill.
Solarbank 2 Pro
Solarbank 2 Pro suits you if you have a bigger family or you have more household appliances. Similar to Solarbank 2 Plus, it is an all-in-one design with battery, micro inverter and solar controller in one unit. The difference lies in its ability to connect 4 solar panels. It is 100% compatible with the high quality Aiko solar panels that we work with. You are welcome to get your full solar kit with us including solar panels, different mounts fitting your home, and the battery system.
Solarbank 2 Pro also allows you to install up to 5 battery extensions for a maximum of 9,6 kWh in total. Connect the optional smart meter to monitor your real-time power production and consumption and not waste a single watt of solar power to the grid.Your solar panels will produce at maximum levels without the micro inverter cutting off production. All your solar energy is stored in the Solarbank 2 Pro. With the smart meter installed you only feed into your home the power you actually consume, storing all the rest in the Solarbank 2 Pro. The maximum output power of both Solarbank 2 Models for on-grid use is 800 W, making it compliant with the plug & play regulations in place across Europe, allowing for easy self-installation. And, should there be a power cut, you can plug in your devices into the additional Schuko socket on the side of the Solarbank 2, so that you’re never left without electricity at any point.
Conclusion
Solarbank is a great option for you if you already have a plugin solar kit. You store the surplus energy to the battery to avoid feeding back into the grid. If you don’t have a plugin solar kit yet, a Solarbank 2 is your best choice. Pick between the Plus version if 2 solar panels are enough for you, or the Pro version if you want maximum power from 4 solar panels Add as many expansion batteries as you need if you produce much more than you can consume during day time, for a maximum of 5 extra batteries of a powerful 9,6 kWh of total storage. Connect a smart meter to make sure you don’t waste any of your solar power to the grid.
